Apparently this was what Jean-Marie communicated to the carpenter. What a shame he didn't have the courtesy to let us know - as you can tell, it took me less than a minute to correct his drawing, and we would have got what we wanted at no extra cost/hassle to anyone.
Now we will have a step up in the middle of the corridor.
They seem sh!t at listening! [Sorry, that's out of order, but we feel so sidelined - I hate when someone pretends to listen to your point of view and then completely ignores it; ESPECIALLY when you are paying that person to provide what you with what you ASKED for.]
Apologies for the *SHOUTING* but I'm pretty cross...
In the two days it's taken to receive a response about their mistake [and it IS a mistake when someone promises to do one thing and does something else and tries to justify it as being "ok"] we have now had four reminders about their bill.
Thankfully David has said that he will discuss that with Jean-Marie when he's here next Friday.
I'm still seriously tempted to ask M. Mazij to re-do the joists, and we will knock off any additional cost from what we are planning on paying the project manager!
